Filtered

Filtered is a top-down shooter developed for the “political game project” in GSND 6240.

The player controls an unnamed soldier in a squad sent to “sanitize” a contaminated residential area by exterminating a horde of supposed monsters, under orders from a faceless military authority.

As the mission unfolds, glitches and interference begin to disrupt the soldier’s helmet display. Through these cracks in the interface, the player gradually uncovers the truth: the “virus” is not what they were told, and the “monsters” they are killing are, in fact, civilians whose appearances are being filtered and distorted by the military’s vision-altering technology.

By the end of the game, the player must decide whether to continue obeying orders or rebel, accepting the severe consequences of resistance.
